Job Description

AGS ALTIN GEZEGEN VARLIK YÖNETİM A.Ş. is seeking a highly skilled Accounting Finance Director to join their dynamic team. The successful candidate should possess a minimum of 8-10 years of experience, responsible for managing the accounting team, maintaining financial records, preparing budgets, completing financial reporting, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.

Responsibilities:

Financial Reporting:

• Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting.
• Communicate financial results to senior management and provide insights for decision-making.

Budgeting and Forecasting:

• Develop and manage the annual budgeting process in collaboration with department heads.
• Provide financial forecasts and variance analysis to support strategic planning.
• Monitor and control expenses to align with budgetary guidelines.

Accounting Operations:

• Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger activities.
• Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department, including month and end-year processes, accounts payable/receivable, cash receipts, general ledger, payroll, and more.
• Implement and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
• Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies, and principles.

Team Leadership:

• Supervise and mentor a team of accountants, providing guidance and support.
• Foster a collaborative and efficient work environment within the accounting department.
• Conduct performance evaluations and identify opportunities for professional development.
• Assign projects and direct staff to ensure compliance and accuracy, meeting financial accounting objectives.

Audit and Compliance:

• Coordinate external audits and ensure the timely completion of audit requirements.
• Implement and monitor compliance with relevant financial regulations and standards.
• Address any audit findings and implement corrective actions.

Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA certification is a plus.
• Fluent in English.
• 10+ years of proven working experience as an Accounting or Finance Manager.
• Knowledge of accounting principles and techniques, including experience with computerized accounting systems.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Experience in a multinational corporation is preferred.
• Professional accounting certifications (such as CPA, ACCA, or CMA) are a plus.
• Advanced computer skills in MS Office, accounting software, and databases.
• Ability to manipulate large amounts of data and demonstrate proficiency in bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws, and regulations.
• High attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to direct and supervise.
