We are looking for a Mine Exploration Engineer to take part in Mine Exploration and Development Management of Şişecam Chemicals Group located in Tuzla/Istanbul.

• University degree in Geological Engineering, preferably with a master’s degree
• Minimum 3 years of experience in Industrial Mines and/or Metallic Mine explorations
• Excellent command of English
• Proficiency in MS Office applications
• Knowledge of Netcad, Netpromine and/or Micromine programs
• Knowledge of international mineral and resource codes
• Deep understanding of legislation on Mining, Forest, Environment, Occupational Health and Safety
• Good presentation and reporting skills
• Analytical thinking, problem solving skills
• Good team player, disciplined, self-motivated candidates
• No restrictions to travel domestic and abroad and to work on site
• Active driver

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Executing exploration activities on mine sites belong to the company have industrial raw material and metallic mine potential, review and reporting of reserve, grade and operation activities
• Preparation of 3-D block models and geological correlation, cross-sections of mine sites that show reserve – grade relations using Netcad, Netpromine and Micromine.
• Prospection, pre-feasibility, geochemical, geophysical and core drilling works of industrial and metallic mine sites
• Calculation of proven, probable and possible reserve and resource as a result of exploration and reserve development activities, preparation of projects for mine operation and production timelines
• Preparation of scaled geological maps and cross-sections of mine sites using computer programs
• Preparation and submit of analysis, documents and maps required by General Directorate and Mining and Petroleum Affairs, Turkish Earthscience and Core Information Bank and other related institutions
• Preparation of exploration and drilling programs of the company in line with the Business Plan, leading drilling works at sites, task assignments of the team, reporting of drilling activities, logging of borehole and preparation of laboratory samples
• Preparation of maintenance and repair programs of drilling and construction equipment, control and management of drilling site expenditures
• Prospection works of mine site tenders initiated by public institutions and potential mine sites, sample collection and preparation of economic data of sites
• Preparation of economic geology report depending on operational reserve of metallic and industrial mine sites and providing data on sites for feasibility works
