Role Description

• Responsible for material, in-process and final shipment quality control according to IMPACTIVA’s Inspection Manual.
• Must be capable of learning and executing on a day-to-day basis very rigorous processes and procedures.
• Responsible for generating his/her own inspection reports using a laptop.
• Responsible for maintaining a good working relationship with all customer and shoe factory personnel (including top management and the owners) and fellow TM’s (Team Members).

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in the footwear industry including strong exposures to:
• Different shoe construction types
• Different leather types
• Operation sequence of upper making and full shoe
• Last measurement
• Sample inspection and final approval
• Material quality control
• (Soles, components, accessories and non-leather materials in upper making)
• Cutting die and pre-production
• Full shoe physical and chemical testing requirements
• AQL (Accepted Quality Level) sample plans
• Final shipment inspection and manual test
• Full shoe understanding (from shoe making technical skills to defects’ classification) including finishing and problem solving skills
• Footwear factory work experience
• Final quality control inspection
• Ability to identify esthetic, fitting, functionality and finishing
• English proficiency (written and spoken)
• People skills (ability to influence factory leadership via creating positive relationships)
• Risk analysis and decision making skills
• Ability to coach technicians
• Computer proficiency (Windows, Outlook, Word, Excel).
